Finally a good news for italian online poker. All the data regarding January 2012, in fact, give evidence of a steady increase of the incomes both for cash games and for tournaments. Pokerstars.it remains leader in the market.
The number of players gathering at the virtual tables returns then to grow. In the firsth month of this year, poker cash game marked a growth for a little more than 885 millions euros, a 155 millions increase over december 2011. The dark moment of this sector, that recorded a drop between october and november with a loss of 183 Millions euros, looks over.
Noteworthy to mention that about 830 millions, ot the January 2012 855, went back to the players as winnings. Leader in this game is PokerStars.it with a total income of 223,4 millions euro, an amount that reaches a share of more than a quarter of the total market. Second comes Microgame network, totalling 190 millions euro.
This, in detail, is the market breakdown for poker cash game according to Agicos estimations: Pokerstars 223,4M euros, Microgame 190M, Bwin/Part 123M, Poker Club by Lottomatica 103M, Sisal Poker 40M, Eurobet 28,4M, Cogetech 26M, Betclic Poker 9,5M, Intralot 4M, Merkur-Win 3,5M, Others 105M for a grand total of 855,8M euros.
Incomes for online poker tournaments are increasing too, this sector marks incomes for about 140 millions of euros, with a 10 millions increase with respect to December 2011 data. Here too, the leadership goes to the italian version of Pokerstars, with 46,1M euros. Close behind is Microgame with 27,8M euros and Sisal Poker with 4,9M euros.
Among others operatos, deserving a mention are Eurobet with 2,3M, Cogetech 1,2M, Betclic 0,7M, Intralot 0,3M and Merkur-Win with 0,2M euros.
