Aspettando di conoscere i candidati dei prossimi European Poker Awards 2016, scopriamo insieme quali sono le nominees scelte per gli American Poker Awards, che avranno luogo a Beverly Hills il prossimo 25 febbraio.
American Poker Awards, Phil Hellmuth e Negreanu in lotta per vincere il premio ‘Moment of the Year’
Aspettando di conoscere i candidati dei prossimi European Poker Awards 2016, scopriamo insieme quali sono le nominees scelte per gli American Poker Awards, che avranno luogo a Beverly Hills il prossimo 25 febbraio.
E’ stata finalmente pubblicata la lista, con tanti di nomi eleggibili, delle undici categorie scelte per la seconda edizione degli American Poker Awards. Ottanta i candidati tra giocatori e addetti ai lavori. Tra loro ci saranno i vincitori che saranno premiati durante la cerimonia in programma il prossimo 25 febbraio al SLS Hotel di Beverly Hills, USA. Contemporaneamente si terrà anche l’American Poker Conference, dove gli argomenti principali saranno: ‘E-Sports’, ‘Donne nel Poker’ e ‘Poker Media’.
Veniamo ora ai candidati e iniziamo con i quattro nomi scelti per la categoria ‘Moment of the Year‘. Abbiamo Anthony Zinno e il suo back-to-back al WPT Fallsview, WPT L.A. Poker Classic; oltre 22 mila giocatori iscritti al Wsop Colossus; Phil Hellmuth per aver vinto il suo 14esimo braccialetto, vincendo l’evento Wsop 10K Razz Championship; infine, Daniel Negreanu eliminato in undicesima posizione al main event delle Wsop. Abbiamo dunque una sfida nella sfida, tra il canadese Danielino e lo statunitense ‘The Poker Brat’.
Ma passiamo avanti e veniamo alla categoria Tournament Performance od the Year. I nominati sono: Jonathan Duhamel, WSOP One Drop High Roller winner; Mike Gorodinsky, WSOP Poker Players Championship winner; ovviamente Joseph McKeehen, WSOP Main Event winner; e ancora Anthony Zinno, WPT L.A. Poker Classic. Nella categoria Breakout Performance of the Year abbiamo invece: Joshua Beckley, Asher Conniff, Cate Hall e Kelly Minkin.
Per quanto riguarda il torneo dell’anno con buy-in fino a 2 mila dollari, le nominees sono: WSOP The Colossus, Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas; WPT500 at ARIA, Las Vegas; WSOP Millionaire Maker, Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas; WPTDeepStacks – DSPT Championship, Grey Eagle Resort & Casino, Calgary.
Per quanto riguarda invece i tornei con buy-in superiore ai due mila dollari: Super High Roller Bowl, ARIA, Las Vegas; WSOP Main Event, Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas; WSOP One Drop High Roller, Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas; WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, Hollywood, FL. Inoltre, nella categoria ‘Iniziativa benefica dell’anno’, abbiamo: Chad Brown Memorial Tournament (Maria Ho, Vanessa Rousso); Charity Series of Poker (Matthew Stout); Tiger’s Poker Night (hosted by Tiger Woods, WPT Foundation); WSOP One Drop High Roller / Litte One for One Drop.
Passiamo alla categoria ‘Industry Person of the Year: Jack Effel, WSOP Vice President and Tournament Director, William Mason, Seminole Hard Rock Director of Poker, John Pappas, Poker Players Alliance Executive Director, Matt Savage, TDA Founder, WPT Executive Director. Media Person of the Year: Joey Ingram, Kevin Mathers, Donnie Peters, Jason Somerville. E ancora, Presentatore di Poker dell’anno: Sarah Herring, Kara Scott, Joseph Stapleton, David Tuchman.
Per finire abbiamo la categoria ‘Innovazione dell’anno’ e la ‘Notizia dell’anno’. Inoltre, nella stessa serata, sarà premiato anche Byron Kaverman con il trofeo 2015 GPI Player of the Year e Kelly Minkin, che riceverà il trofeo 2015 GPI Female Player of the Year.
