Al termine del draft che ha selezionato i team della Global Poker League sono stati assegnati anche gli ‘oscar’ del poker a stelle e strisce: gli American Poker Awards. Tra i mattatori della serata Daniel Negreanu, Kara Scott ed Anthony Zinno.
Daniel ‘Kid Poker’ Negreanu, Kara Scott (foto sotto) ed Anthony Zinno sono stati tra i protagonisti degli American Poker Awards. I tre si sono infatti aggiudicati il ‘titolo’ nelle categorie Poker Moment of the Year, Poker Presenter of the Year e Tournament Performance of the Year.
Il 42enne poker pro canadese si visto assegnare la vittoria ‘grazie’ alla sua clamorosa eliminazione, all’11esimo posto, nel Main Event delle World Series Of Poker 2015 di Las Vegas. La bella moglie di Giovanni Rizzo si è invece portata a casa l’apprezzato riconoscimento per l’enorme lavoro svolto come presentatrice in diversi eventi del circuito liv.
Infine il talentuosissimo 35enne campione di Rhode Island si è imposto come performer dell’anno, in riferimento allo strepitoso trionfo, da oltre 1 milione di dollari, centrato nel No Limit Hold’em Championship del World Poker Tour Classic di Los Angeles.
Premiati anche Matt Savage (Industry Person of the Year), Joe Giron (per la foto dell’out di Danielino alle WSOP 2015) e Mike Sexton (Lifetime Achievement Award).
